Albert George Loney Foundation for Youth (AGL)- Empowering Youth, Enriching Lives The Albert George Loney Foundation for Youth (AGL) is a non-profit organization dedicated to empowering young people through education, mentorship, and humanitarian support. Our mission is to cultivate a commitment to youth that fosters pro-social friendships, and solid interpersonal skills, and rekindles hope for a brighter future.
Partnerships and Objectives AGL forms strategic partnerships with local school districts and the juvenile court system to identify and support at-risk youth. Our primary objective is to provide a caring, inclusive learning environment that promotes personal growth, respect, and responsibility.
Program Overview Our program focuses on youth aged 11-17, a critical period for mentorship and guidance. The AGL Big Brother/Sister program pairs young people with trained mentors for 12 months, engaging in weekly activities that strengthen relationships, build confidence, and enhance optimism. Mentors receive ongoing training and participate in monthly progress meetings.
Goals and Impact Within three years, we aim to have 50% of our high school students equipped with the skills and support necessary for a successful transition to adulthood. Our ultimate goal is to empower youth to make positive changes in their lives, creating a ripple effect of hope and resilience in their communities.
By investing in young people, we build a stronger, more compassionate society. Join us in our mission to enrich lives and empower youth.
